Code VVR
For safe wheelchair transport, Taxi Korthout
Midden-Brabant works in accordance with the
guidelines in the Safe Transport Wheelchair
Users Code (VVR Code). Persons who are
permanently or temporarily bound to a
wheelchair are dependent on means of
transport accessible for wheelchairs for
their outdoor transport. During this
transport, such persons should be provided
with the same level of safety as “healthy
like” passengers in comparable conditions.
The VVR Code was created for this. The VVR
Code aims to contribute to improving safety
in wheelchair transport by providing
guidelines and additional information.
Taxi Keurmerk Tilburg
For street taxi transport, Taxi Korthout
Midden-Brabant is affiliated with Taxi
Keurmerk Tilburg (TKT). From July 1, 2019,
street taxis in Tilburg will only run with a
taxi permit. This permit proves that the
driver meets the taxi approval mark. The
quality mark is an initiative of the Tilburg
taxi industry and the municipality and
should improve the quality of taxi
transport. The quality mark improves the
quality of taxi transport. Drivers who know
the way, who do not refuse short journeys,
who work with fixed prices and are
representative. Matters that contribute to a
